  SNT-TC-1A  CP-189

1. scope

- guidelines or recommended practice, as necessary review and modify
※ SNT-TC-1A is not intended to be used as a strict specification.
※ Use of SNT-TC-1A is mandatory when it has been specified by the
customer.
※ ASNT always intended that the recommendations of SNT-TC-1A be
applied with flexibility and reason, recognizing that business enterprises often may need to satisfy differing customer requirements.

- minimum requirement (standards)

2. NDT  METHOD  - AE, ET, MT, PT, RT, UT, VT, VA, TIT, NR, LT etc... 
(15METHOD)   
- AE, ET, LT, MFL, MT, NR, PT, RT, TIR, UT, VA, VT 
(12 METHOD) 

3. level 구분

- three level +more(Level Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ + 세분화 가능)

- five level(Trainee, Level Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, NDT Instructor)

4.role 1)

Traninee

① While in the process of being initially trained, qualified and certified 
② should work with a certified individual
③ shall not independently conduct, interpret, evaluate, or report the results

not yet certified to any level
shall work with a certified person, under the direction of an NDT Level Ⅱ or Level Ⅲ
shall not independently conduct any tests or write a report of test results

2) NDT
 Level Ⅰ 
① perform specific calibrations, specific NDT, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions
record results(write reports of test results)
③ should receive the necessary instruction or supervision from a certified NDT Level Ⅱ or Ⅲ(sign for results)

① perform specific calibrations, specific test
② specific interpretations, evaluations, document the results
③ shall receive the necessary guidance or supervision from a certified NDT Level Ⅱ or Level Ⅲ

3) NDT

Level Ⅱ

set up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results
② thoroughly familiar with the scope (적용범위에 대해 익숙해야함)
③ limitations of the methods for which qualified (시험방법의 한계에 대해)
exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainee & L1
⑤ should be able to organize and report the results of NDT tests

set up and calibrate equipment, to conduct tests
② interpret, evaluate, and document results
③ should be capable of directing the work of trainees and NDT Level Ⅰ
④ shall be able to organize and report nondestructive test results.

4) NDT

Level Ⅲ

① should be capable of developing, qualifying, and approving procedures

establishing and approving techniques

③ interpreting codes, standards, specifications and procedures

designating the particular NDT methods, techniques and procedures to be

used

⑤ should be responsible for the NDT operations

⑥ should be capable of interpreting and evaluating results in terms of existing

codes, standards and specification.

⑦ should have sufficient practical background in applicable materials,

fabrication and product technology to establish techniques

assist in establishing acceptance criteria

⑨ should have general familiarity with other appropriate NDT methods

⑩should be capable of training and examining NDT Level Ⅰ and Ⅱ

① establish techniques

③ designating the particular technique to be used
④ verify the adequacy of procedures(절차서의 적절성 검증)
⑤ general familiarity with the NDT methods
⑥ conducting or directing the training and examining of NDT personnel

5) NDT

Instructor

-

- shall have the skills and knowledge to plan, organize, and present classroom, laboratory demonstration, and/or on-the-job NDT instruction, training, and/or education programs in accordance with course outlines approved by an NDT Level Ⅲ. NDT Level Ⅲ가 승인한 코스 아웃라인에 따라 계획, 조직, 강의실, 실험실 시범 또는 NDT 현장교육 강의, 훈련, 또는 교육프로그램에 대한 기술과 지식을 가지고 있어야 한다.
