Hanok ( traditional Korean house)

The form of a traditional Korean house. It has many features that have developed in line with the environment of the Korean peninsula and the traditional patterns of food, clothing, shelter, and shelter of Koreans. It is often thought of as a tiled house with a wooden structure, but thatched houses made of rice straw and loess fall within the scope of hanok. In modern Korea, the number of houses declined due to Western-style houses, but it continues to be in line with the construction of temples.

A house with tiles as a roof. It is a house that replaced the roof with a semi-permanent tile that had to be changed frequently due to the rotten roof after a few years.

The roof was also made using blue glazed blue tiles when people with high status among the yangban lived there. Traditionally, only the wealthy and gents were living in tiled houses. Even if ordinary farmers built a tiled house, there were no special sanctions. It was impossible to build and live.

A house made by weaving the roof of rice straw, straw, reed, etc. It is a type of house that was built and lived mainly by ordinary people from the time the full-fledged house was created in the prehistoric period to the mid-20th century.

It was a popular house that occupied 70-80% of Joseon's houses, and it was a place where both the yangban and the commoners lived.
